Studying marine life through the lens of Joan Roughgarden has opened my understanding of multiple possibilities; solidifying a need to question the boundaries and limitations brought on by western culture dominated by language so closely tied to science.

I began to study a Queer Oceans theory to bridge a connection between the degradation and abuse of nature and the degradation and abuse of women and other marginalized groups. The more often we can see everything as interconnected, the healthier we as a society will become. Looking forward to what unfolds!
